My name is Sean Kline and I have the absolute privilege of being able to say I am YMCA Camp Kern Summer Camp Director.

My father, Steve Kline, worked here in the late 70’s and introduced me to Summer Camp at Kern when I was 7 years old. After that, for all intents and purposes, I just never really left. This past summer, I feel fortunate to say, was my 18th summer spent here at Kern. As a camper, there were few programs I didn’t partake in. I then worked in a variety of roles over the years, beginning as a CIT and Junior Counselor and steadily making my way into the Assistant Summer Camp position. After a stint with the Leadership And Conferencing department and nearly a year as Adventure Coordinator, working with the Teens and Families, I am honored to say I’ve completed the circle in taking my new position as Summer Camp Director.

Needless to say, I love YMCA Camp Kern. It has always been a second home to me and place that has played a significant role in make me who I am today. I am incredibly excited about this new opportunity and I can not wait to start giving back and continuing to build this amazing program.
