Camp Kern has a Trolley!

Yes, you heard that right, Camp Kern’s brand-new (to us) trolley has officially arrived!  In this post are some pictures (more to come soon) and a short video of the trolley being unloaded from the flatbed truck that drove it to 5291 State Rt. 350 from Washington state!

It’s got a Diesel engine (no, gearheads, I don’t know how many horsepower).  An automatic hydraulic door, interior and exterior PA system, AM radio, real solid wood seats, and STYLE!

We’ll be using the trolley to ferry Ozone Zipline guests from the tavern at the bottom of the hill, up through camp and into the Ozone starting area.  It will also

be used as a tour vehicle for Open Houses and the soon-to-be-upon-us 100th celebration!  (June 19th, for anyone who is interested!)

Hopefully we’ll see you there, and we may even have the trolley re-painted in Kern colors, and some new decals applied.  The timeline on painting and labeling is a bit tenuous, but it’s certainly coming.

All in all, this is one of the coolest vehicles on the road, and Camp Kern is the only camp in the country with such an amazing vehicle.  Come out and join us this summer, and make sure you check out the trolley at the same time!
