Today is the opening day for Ozone Zipline Adventures for our 2011 season!
Ozone has been a huge success story for the YMCA, a way for us to keep our Outdoor Education rates FROZEN from our 2008 rates, and to bring some good news to our region’s schools.
10 ziplines, thousands of feet of fun, local history education, ecological instruction and just good, plain fun make Ozone an experience not to me missed! Â Over 10,000 guests all agree that there is no better way to spend an afternoon outdoors.
Registration must be made prior to attending. Â Check out www.ozonezips.org for dates, tours, rates and online booking.
2011 here we come! Â Zip on!

As has been reported in LOTS of media outlets over the last days, Camp Kern has won a court case intended to stop the expansion of our educational, non-profit Ozone Zipline Adventures. Â This educational zipline has done worlds of good for both the YMCA and Warren County in general. Â We are excited to pursue the expansion, draw more people outdoors, and show off our section of the Little Miami River Valley.
If you’re interested in more information about Ozone Ziplines, find all the details and booking information at www.ozonezips.org.
Here are some links to the various stories posted about this exciting news:

We are at ohio state university at the non profit opportunity fair! Tons of great students who want to work in a non profit environment!

Camp Kern wants to thank the Dayton Foundation for their support for the new Recreation Hall project at Kern! The recreation hall will house an indoor basketball court, indoor arts center, and will have large covered outdoor play areas. Expanding camp’s ability to offer indoor programming will make those rainy days at camp that much more fun! Don’t worry, we’ll still go on wet hikes, catch frog
s down by the pond (they all come out during the rain!) and explore the earthworm population as they emerge from their underground homes. However, after getting soaked and tired outside, now there will be a great place to play and spend time together under a roof.
Thank-you so much, Dayton Foundation! 45,000 Camp Kern guests yearly thank you!

Yes, you heard that right, Camp Kern’s brand-new (to us) trolley has officially arrived! Â In this post are some pictures (more to come soon) and a short video of the trolley being unloaded from the flatbed truck that drove it to 5291 State Rt. 350 from Washington state!
